It’s important to keep document of your life, whether it’s in the form of a journal, a blog or some other medium, I’ve been doing this for a considerable amount of time now, I’ve kept a diary for many years and over the years the way I’ve done this has changed a lot, I used to use a physical diary and a pen but nowadays I use an app called Day One and it’s so good that I’m slowly digitizing all of my hand written stuff so I can have my whole life in a digital, searchable way.
There are many reasons I like to keep a record of things that happen in a diary, one of which is getting thoughts and emotions out and it also helps me to look back and see how things have changed, it’s also recently been great to record a lot of positive things in my journal because there is a fair amount of emotional stuff in there too, I feel like I’m finally at a point in my life when things are good and there is so much more to come!
I’ve been eating better and exercising more and I’ve lost a decent amount of weight (36lb at time of writing) and I’m also going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and I’m feeling and seeing the changes in my body and this is only the beginning. I never in a million years thought that I would be someone who regularly goes to a gym and (importantly) enjoys it, but I feel so good afterwards although I may be sore and exhausted afterwards I know that it’s for a good reason!

I’ve lost 10% of my starter weight now and I’ve got a fair amount more to lose but I’m dedicated to reaching a weight that I feel comfortable at and I’m enjoying the challenge in getting there too, yes it can sometimes be hard work but hard work does pay off in the end!
